Flow.
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” – Lao Tzu
Yes. That sounds lovely. In theory.
This word, Flow, is the the one I chose to guide me through 2016. I’ve had this little ritual for so many years that I’ve lost track of all the words. Every year, the word chooses me, and this one was no different. In 2015, SECURITY chose me, and I accepted the challenge wholeheartedly. It wrecked my world. No, not really, but that’s how I felt as I left 2015. It wrecked all of the remaining B.S. beliefs I held about the feeling of safety. (In case you’re wondering, security is an illusion, and the feeling of safety can only come from inside. FYI)
It only makes sense for FLOW to follow SECURITY.
Building a life that I find inspiring, I had forgotten to let go and let life flow. It’s something I tend to do well. It is time.
It is time to challenge myself.
It is time to push my boundaries.
It is time to explore.
It is time to trust.
It is time to love. And be loved.
